James Adam Helton, 81, born on August 12, 1929, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 24, 2010. He was born in Waynoka, OK to Clarence and Viola Helton. James was survived by wife of 60 years, Joy Helton of Edmond, Okla., 3 children: Travis Helton of Peyton, Co.; Revelle Helton of Duncan, Okla.; and Dana Hubbard of Edmond, Okla. He also left behind 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He leaves behind 2 sisters: May Belle of California, and Ruby of Colorado; and 1 brother, Roy Helton of Enid, Okla. James served in the Army during the Korean War and retired from General Motors in 1993. Services to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 11th, at 2p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Edmond.
