James Thomas (Tom) Watts, a man who never met a stranger, passed from this earth on Saturday, March 24, 2012. The last of nine children, Tom was born July 20, 1933 in Weleetka, OK, to Willis Charles and Ella Mae (McGuire) Watts. Tom’s death caught he and his wife, Bobbie, just short of celebrating their sixtieth wedding anniversary. Tom spent most of his career as a union truck driver for Rocket Freight Lines. After retiring as a Union Business Agent, Tom started a sometimes lucrative and always exciting career as a Process Server. As a Process Server, Tom was well-respected and made many friends in the legal community. Tom is survived by his wife Bobbie of the home. Daughter, Diane Steele and her husband, Mickey. daughter, Debby Batson and son, Tommy Watts, Jr. Grandchildren, Gary L. Robinson, Jr., Raegan Baker and husband, Travis and Shaun Pack. Step grandchildren, Sam Steele, Shelley Steurer and her husband, Aaron. Great grandchildren, Kaleb Walton, Taylor, Garin and Landree Baker and Kaden Pack. One sister-in-law, Billye Watts. Three nephews and six nieces. Many special friends, they know who they are. Tom loved playing golf, horse racing, watching OSU football, but most of all he loved to entertain people with his unique humor and wit. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Sunnymeade Baptist Church, 2800 W. Britton Road, Oklahoma City, OK with luncheon to follow.
