Janet Leah Conn, 62, of Bethany, Oklahoma, died at home on June 2, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She is survived by her sister Darla Conn of Oklahoma City; brother Roy Conn of Longtown, OK; niece Dakota Conn of Nashville; nephew Allen Conn of Rhode Island; Tammy Conn of Mustang; Richard, Desarae and Dylon Mello; and Jacob Clark, all of Mustang. Janet was born in Enid, OK on April 21, 1956 to Lucy and Allen Conn. She graduated Mustang High School in 1974 and SW State University in 1979 with a B.S. in Physical Education. She worked at Hertz Call Center and then completed Barber College in 1985. She then began working at Donna's Razor Cuts and except for a brief adventure she took in Florida and Arizona for seven years, she worked there until she became too ill to continue serving her clients. Janet was preceded in death by both of her parents. Janet was a social person, loved her clients and considered many as her friends. She also loved all that life offered and made an adventure of her journey. She enjoyed taking pictures of sunsets, collecting rocks from everywhere she went, and listening to 70's music. She loved fishing, bicycling, traveling and all her pets. Perhaps her most endearing trait was that she was able to find a heart in something every day. EVERY DAY! She would say, "It is from my Mom." She found them in the steam that came from her coffee cup, in rocks, cereal bowl, and potato chip. Her smile was ever present and contagious, even during the times her illness was taking over. Janet was brave and a fighter and never quit. She went in peace, still strong and on her terms. Services are Friday June 15, 2018
