Janet Read

Janet S. Read, 72, of Edmond, OK passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012. She was born March 28, 1939, in El Dorado, Kansas to Virgil & Elsie Marley who preceded her in death. Janet worked in the medical field in both Kansas and Oklahoma for over 30 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, William (Bill) Read; son, Kelly Read and his wife Donna of Wichita, Kansas; daughters: Cinda Ellison and her husband Grover of El Reno, Oklahoma; Debra Patty of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Susan Read of Guthrie, Oklahoma; her brother, Don Marley and his wife Helen of Houston, Texas; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Janet loved her dog "Jinjur", who was her service dog, which became blind and was a diabetic herself. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to your local Diabetes or Heart Association Janet's family made the generous gift of donating her body to science for medical research, innovation and education through the GenLife Institute.
