Janice R. Floch

Janice R. Floch – 74, from Shawnee, OK passed on Sunday, January 17, 2021. She was born to the late Frank and Beatrice Cornett on March 12, 1946. She had one brother, Alan Cornett, who preceded her in death in 1992. Janice studied Nursing, when she was a young woman, and returned to school later in life to study Native American Culture and Literature in her schooling at OU. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years in Obstetrics and loved caring and serving by delivering babies. She also loved literature and reading. She faithfully read her Bible everyday and spent time in prayer. She liked to write poems and enjoyed singing songs. Her favorite to listen to was worship and praise music. Janice is survived by her loving husband Stephen Charles Floch; sons, Richard Burgeson and Peter Floch; daughter Jennifer Johnson. She was also survived by her foster daughter Hailey and nephews, Craig and Brandon Cornett. Janice had three grandchildren, Savannah Garvin, Sariah and Elijah Johnson, and a great-granddaughter Thea Jane Garvin and a great-grandson Carsyn Garvin.
