Jim Owens was born to Menola Dillard and Albert Owens Sr. February 26, 1926 in Taft, Oklahoma. Family moved to Vernon Oklahoma where he attended school.  Family then moved to Muskogee Oklahoma then to Oklahoma City. He was married to Blue Bell Farmer and then enlisted in the United States Army in 1954.  Jim was honorably discharged in 1956.  He raised one step son Michael House who preceded him in death.  He was married for 45 years to his wife until her passing in March 1990.  Jim married Gyndola Rentie in 1991.  Together they united at Wildewood Christian Church.  He was a faithful member until his health began to fail.  Jim loved family, traveling with his wife and working in his yard planting fruit trees and beautiful flowers. On Wednesday, March 28, 2012 he peacefully went home to be with the Lord. Preceded him in death is his mother, father, three brothers and five sisters.  He leaves to cherish his memories; devoted wife Gyndola, one sister Charlene Hawkins, One bother Fred Owens Sr. all in Oklahoma City.  Two daughters Annette (Earl) Carter of Wichita , Kansas.   Connie Marie (Roscoe) Franks of Okmulgee, Oklahoma.  Two step daughters Cherie (Bill) Chamberlain of Oklahoma City and Darletta (Larry) Pruitt of Knights Town Indiana.  One step Son Gilton Cross of Oklahoma City.  14 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren a host of nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
