Jimmy Wellner

d. November 2, 2011

Jimmy passed away quietly at his home on Wednesday morning with family by his side. He is survived by wife Debbie Wellner, his lap/guard dog, Baby; sons Robert, Michael and Jamie Wellner; daughter Patty Duke Knoll; grandkids Chris and Scott Duke, Sloane, Kaleb, and Bodi Wellner; step daughter, Brandy Jordan; and step grandchildren MaCamry, and Korday Jordan. There was nothing he enjoyed more than fishing at his favorite spot on Lake Overholser behind the old Casey's bait house, a favorite meeting place for him and his wife to share with family and friends. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a man of many trades. He spent much of his life behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler where he was able to share much of his travels over the United States with family and friends. Jimmy made the generous gift of donating his body to science for medical research, innovation and education through the GenLife Institute. GenLife Institute exists to provide people throughout the world with the ability to make a difference for future generations while living healthier and longer lives. Connecting donors and their families with medical researchers and educators who are dedicated to the advancement of medical innovation is the heart of the GenLife Institute organization.
