Joan Thomason

Helen Joan Thomason, 82 passed away peacefully January 5, 2019. She was born March 15, 1936 in OKC to John and Helen Hamilton. Her love was her family being Mama and Mema. She was our prayer Warrior…when she prayed for you everything was better. Her love and faith for God never wavered. When asked who she wanted to see first in Heaven her eyes lit up and she said “Jesus”. She lived her Life according to Ephesians 4:32 – “and be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” “Only one life twill soon be past, only what’s done For Christ will last.” Joan is survived by her sister and brother in law Johnny and Janice Brightwell, two sons Donny Thomason, Ron Thomason, and two daughters and their husbands, Tammy and Tom Zelenik, and Julie and Walter Ashford, grandchildren, Brooke Thomason, Josh Thomason, Jason and Amanda Wright, Jared and Katie Wright, Melissa Taylor, Aimee and husband Jentrey Scammahorn, Aaron Thomason, Jordan Thomason, Hannah Raney, and Taylor Zelenik; plus 5 great grandchildren Eddie Thomason, Asher Thomason, Max Thomason, Jase Wright, Liv Scammahorn and Kinzley Ivey-Moss and many nieces and nephews which she loved deeply. Joan lived for her road trips to the mountains, she also loved arts and crafts. She was always up for an adventure in the car. She was the thrift store Queen. Someway she always found what she needed in the thrift store. She always had a smile and laughter for you. She will be missed by everyone she knew!
