Great lady, precious and most beloved mother and grandmother and loving selfless friend, died as she lived with peaceful assurance of God"™s love, left to be reunited with her loved ones on Tuesday, June 8, 2011. Joy was born on Easter Sunday, April 5, 1915, in Talco, Texas, to Edward and Barbara (Kuykendall) McMoran. She was predeceased by her parents, four sisters and two brothers, beloved son, James Allen Bird and husband Col. Kenneth G. Klein. She is survived by her children Verna Anne Bird, Bellingham, WA, Elizabeth McCormick and Phillip Bird, both of Oklahoma City. Three grandchildren, Tiffany Kenny, Derrick Bird and Jimmie Lynn Gabel and numerous nieces and nephews. Joy loved life and had the most amazing wit and sense of humor. She was an avid bridge and card player, was a devoted OU football fan, enjoyed traveling, dancing and going to the Officer"™s Club for family Sunday Champagne Brunch. Joy was a true lady, full of amazing strength, abiding faith, abounding love and infectious joy who dearly loved her family. She was indeed a joy to be around and will forever be in our hearts. We will miss you always. Services will be Monday, June 13, 2011@ 4:00 at All Souls Episcopal Church in the Chapel of St. Mary, NW 63rd & Pennsylvania.
