Karin Gertrud (Krause) Evans

Karin was born in West Berlin, Germany, on March 15, 1952. She passed away due to cancer on April 18, 2025. She was 73 years old. Karin grew up in Hanau, Germany, until she was 18 when she met Roy O. Evans, III, who was there due to being in the Army during Vietnam. She left Germany with Roy to move to America, where they arrived in Canada and were married on August 7, 1970. She was blessed with a daughter named Christina Faith (Evans) Miller in 1979. Karin served in many roles in the church. She received her calling to become a minister. She attended Phillips Theological Seminary, where she received her Master of Divinity in 1998. From there, she became a Chaplain in many hospitals throughout Oklahoma City. Later in her life, she ministered with hospice patients for many years. She leaves behind her only daughter, Christina Miller, Son-in-Law Steven Miller, Grandchildren Luke Miller and Isabelle Miller, and in Germany, is Sister Ursula (Krause) Günther, Brother-in-law Norbert Günther, Niece Andrea (Günther) Richter, Nephew Andreas Richter, and more loved ones. 

Karin’s services will be at First Presbyterian Church, 1001 N.W. 25th St, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73106. The service will be at 11:00 am.
