Kathleen Lee Coombes Moody Katie was born October 25th, 1956 in Duncan, OK.  She passed away on October 15th, 2009 surrounded by her family and friends at home in Shawnee, Ok. Katie is survived by her beloved husband, Gary Moody, two daughters, Lauren Moody and Heather Moody Hall, son-in-law, Isaac Hall and long anticipated grandson, Eli Hall.  She is also survived by her sister, Mary Ann Earnhart and numerous nieces and nephews.  Her parents-in-love are Beverly and Don Moody and sisters-in-love, Michele Moody and Monica Moody Anderson and their families.  Her family was such a joy in her life! Katie is preceded in death by her parents, Joan and Orin Coombes and a sister, Fran Coombes.  Katie was co-owner of Lifecare Oklahoma Home Health, Hospice and Personal Services and dedicated many years to helping Oklahomans receive quality health care at home.  One of her personal missions was to promote mind, body, spirit and emotional balance among Senior Citizens.  Katie served on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Association for Home Care and was a long-time supporter and volunteer with the American Cancer Society.  In addition to her activities with the OAHC, she was active with the Norman Women"™s Connection. Katie founded the Lifecare Lyrics, an a capella singing group, which brings musical cheer to people in hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living centers.  She was an avid OU football fan and played a competitive game of basketball.  She was a great listener and imparted priceless pearls of wisdom to her many friends.   Memorial arrangements are being made through Corbett Funeral Home.  A memorial service celebrating the life of Katie Moody will be held on November 7th, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the New Life Bible Church at 4343 N. Flood, Norman, Oklahoma  73069.  Deacon Jeff Willard will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to the Lifecare Oklahoma Hospice Indigent Patient Fund to assure that needy patients receive end-of- life services.  Memorial Donations can also be made to The Kathleen Lee Coombes Moody Fund at www.LUNGevity.org to support Lung Cancer research and patient services.
