Lari Fay Speaks, 56 years old, died on Monday, December 28, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. She suffered a massive brain aneurysm that was unable to be treated on December 24, 2015, and the lord finally called her home on December 28, 2015. Lari was born Lari Huggins on April 14, 1959, in Salina, KS to Duane and Shirley Huggins. She lived in Del City, OK most her life. She graduated Del City High School in 1977. Lari was fortunate to marry her true soulmate Daniel Speaks on June 2, 2008. They were high school friends and met up again in 1994. They were inseparable ever since. They married on June 2, 2006. Lari devoted her life to being a good mother, daughter, wife and grandma. Her signature gift of love, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten. She had a no nonsense personality and always told you what she thought. She was kind and loving, yet tough when she needed to be. She loved her family fiercely. Lari is survived by her parents, Duane and Shirley Huggins, sister Debbie Kalhert, brothers Doug and Darrell Huggins, husband, Danny Speaks, her two daughters, Lindsay Statom and Amy Melson and five grandchildren, Mason King, Austin Melson, Nolan Melson, Kalee Welch, Sianne Statom and Sydney Statom. Lari is preceeded in death by her grandparents, Hank and Ethel Schwab and Edith and Talmage Scott. She will be incredibly missed and has left a void in our hearts that can never be replaced. Services for Lari are being held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Castle Falls Grand Hall located at 820 North MacArthur Boulevard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
