Larry Dale “Poppy” Wallace, 66, of Del City, Oklahoma, passed away on September 16, 2013. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 20, 2013 at Sunnylane Free Will Baptist Church. Pastor Frank Wiley will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 19, 2013 at Corbett Funeral and Cremation Services. Graveside services will immediately follow the funeral at Sunnylane Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Corbett Funeral and Cremation Services. Larry was born in Hobart, Oklahoma on September 28, 1946. He graduated from Asher High School. He enlisted in the Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Larry was married to Judy Farley on November 9, 1973. They were married 39 years. Larry worked as a dispatcher for Transcon for 21 years. After that, he worked for Crossland’s Rent-All & Sales for 17 years until his retirement in December 2012. He enjoyed fixing things and spent countless hours taking care of the pool and deck so his grandkids could swim at Poppy’s house. His family was his greatest joy. He was our rock and will be greatly missed. Larry is survived by his wife Judy, his stepson and wife, Rick and Lynn Fowler of Moore, OK, daughter Misty Boyd of Del City, OK, and 7 grandchildren, Camron, Dakota, and Katelyn Fowler, and Darian, Hunter, and Carson Boyd, and Ashlyn Desha, as well as, other family and dear friends. Larry is preceded in death by his father and mother, Virgil and Esther Wallace, and brother, Kyle Wallace. The family of Larry D.
