Memorial Service Wednesday, June 18th, 2014 - 10:00 AM - Crown Heights United Methodist 1021 Nw 37th St - Oklahoma City, OK - 73118 Larry Alan White, beloved husband and friend, died unexpectedly on June 13, 2014. Larry was born on June 21, 1949 in Oklahoma City and graduated from Central State University with a degree in business. He was captain of his college golf team, and after graduation was a teaching pro at Kickingbird Golf Course and also in Pennsylvania. His varied career included life insurance agent, stock broker at Merrill Lynch, advertising sales for The Daily Oklahoman, and court video. His true vocation, however, was as a web designer. He pursued this career with talent and dedication, and was sought after by many clients. Larry was always ahead of the curve in web design, and was in the vanguard of designing interactive websites. Larry loved golf, classic cars, and exploring new places to eat throughout Oklahoma with his wife, Joy Murphy-White. But his two great loves were Joy and their border collie, Murphy, both of whom he showered with attention, support and good humor. Larry attended Crown Heights United Methodist Church and was very active there. He gave of his time by designing the website for the church, and spent many hours in service to the church. Larry will be remembered for his wit and creativity, for his kindness, and for his dedication to his family, his career and his church. He will be greatly missed. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford White, Jr. and Helen White. He is survived by his wife, Joy Murphy-White, of the home, several cousins and the extended Murphy family. Services in celebration of his life will be on Wednesday, June 18th at Crown Heights United Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m..
