Leon Ray Thompson

LEON R. THOMPSON Leon was born Sept. 26th, 1938 in Chickasha, OK, to Loyd and Annie Thompson. Leon grew up in Ada, OK, where he excelled in track and football. Leon set many track records, some remained unbroken for many years. Later Leon joined the Air Force and met his future wife Brenda Ohler. They were married April 13th, 1962, in Crosswicks, NJ. They were married for 52yrs, until Brenda's passing in 2014. After Leon's service in the Air Force they moved to Chickasha, OK, where Leon joined the Chickasha Fire Dept., and they raised four daughters. Leon retired from the fire dept. after a long career. Leon and Brenda moved to the Lake Texhoma area where they enjoyed many years of hunting and fishing. Leon remained at home until his passing on July 28th, 2021. Leon is survived by his four daughters, multiple grand children, and great grand children. There will be no in person service, online memorial only.
