Lessie Alice Key Rhea (Les) was sung into Heaven by the words of “Amazing Grace” on August 11, 2012, surrounded by her beloved treasures “her family”. Les was born on April 15, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Robert Roy and Lenos Mae Key. Les and her twin sister Lela were the youngest of 11 children born to Robert and Lenos. She grew up in Mustang and attended Mustang Schools. Les made a lifelong career as a hairdresser, making close friends along the way. She loved each and every client as much as they loved her. She also loved spending time with her precious grandchildren, Emilee, Kolten and Destiny, and they loved every minute spent with their “Nana”. Les always told them, “I may not love you for the rest of your life, but I promise I will love you for the rest of mine.” She also enjoyed going to the casino when she had free time, and she loved listening to old time gospel music. Les is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Onyshczak, son Greg Onyshczak, grandchildren Emilee and Kolten Onyshczak, Destiny and Christian Patterson, siblings Thelma Martin, Morene VanHorn and Ervin, Lorene McDonald and Jim, Dovie Teddy and Jerry, Lela Henderson (her twin sister), Sonja Key, Johnny Key and Shirley, Bobby Key, as well as Charles Rhea and several nieces and nephews that loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Roy and Lenos Mae Key, one brother, Harold Key, and two infant sisters, Wilma and Mary. Lessie left this world with one final act of selflessness by donating her body to medical research, in the hopes of saving someone else’s “Nana”. She will always be loved and will be terribly missed by all who had the joy of knowing her.
