Lewis Elza Keltch Jr. born July 26, 1925 in Blackwell, OK to Thelma and Lewis E. Keltch, Sr. died November 12, 2010 at home after a courageous three year battle with cancer. After graduating from Blackwell High School in 1943, he joined the U.S. Navy, spending 31 years at duty stations around the world, always seeking out historical sights and places of interest wherever he went. Earning a pilot"™s license at age 16 and taking his mother for a flight was one of the great enjoyments as well as gardening, crocheting, repairing aircraft and flying. Lewis a 32nd Degree Mason member in Order of Eastern Star, Scottish Rite, VFW, American Legion, Fleet Reserve, Sojourners and attended Goodrich United Methodist Church. Proceeded in death by his mother and father Thelma and Lewis E. Keltch Sr. Blackwell, OK. Sister Laverta J. Coleman of Blackwell, OK. Sister Emma L. And Dean Barber, Broken Arrow, OK. Brother Charles and wife Gloria Keltch of KS. Granddaughter Katy O"™ Brien of Virginia Beach and stepson James L. Gordon of Colorado Springs, CO. Survivors include Gloria Jean Gordon Keltch of the home. Frances E. and Greg Galloway of Stockbridge, GA. Brenda Krueger of San Antonio, Texas. Susan and Paul O"™ Brien of Virginia Beach. Kathy Abrahamson from La Conner, WA. Valerie and Sanford Woode of Olive Branch, MS. Jon Gordon of Norman and Eric Gordon of Norman. Brother George and sister-in-law Luan Keltch of Richardson, Texas. Sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Lloyd Jones or Newkirk, OK and grandchildren Johannes Turner and wife Jaymie of Norman, Ursula Turner, Oklahoma City, Brandon Turner, Denver, Colo., Robert Bates, Seattle, Wash., Tim Bates and his wife Jennifer, Edmonds, Wash., Paul O"™Brien and Michael O"™Brien and 9 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Monday, Nov. 22, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Goodrich United Methodist Church at the corner of Robinson and Hayes. Interment by his dad in Sharon, OK Family Cemetery.
