Loretta "Rita" Nelson

Loretta Ann (Smith) Nelson was born in Montezuma, Kansas January 30, 1929 to Abraham and Martha Smith. She died on April 10, 2012 in Oklahoma City. Her husband Paul Nelson of the home survives. Loretta and Paul were wed on August 7, 1949 and celebrated 62 and 1/2 years of marriage. To this union were born 7 children. One daughter died at childbirth and is buried in Dodge City, Kansas. The other surviving children of this union include: Stephen (and family of Hugoton Kansas ), Gaylene Stiles (and family of Bethany, Oklahoma), Ricky (and family of Oklahoma City), Paul Douglas (and family of Joelton, Tennessee), David (and family of Denton, MD) and Darin of Bethany, Oklahoma. "Rita" was a fulltime homemaker who enjoyed her family and friends. She was an avid reader and loved puzzles of any type. "Rita" loved her many grandkids and great grand kids and enjoyed her photo albums of family and friends.
