Louella Jean Hudson passed away Friday, January 31st, 2014. Jean was born in Bradley, OK on August 28, 1932 to Jesse “Cap” and Eliza Tollison Moss. She grew up on a farm in Fitzhugh, OK with her brothers Lee and Morris and sisters Marie and Bettye. On April 30, 1950, she married Jack Lee Hudson. They started their family in Ada, OK moving shortly thereafter to Oklahoma City where she continued to raise her two sons and one daughter. She began her career outside the home as a bookkeeper working for various firms. She was a long time employee and manager of Warehouse Service, Inc., an automotive parts wholesaler. Jean became the first female manager in the state of Oklahoma in this industry. She eventually moved to the oil business and worked at Digicon, Inc. until her retirement. Jack and Jean enjoyed a fruitful retirement working around the home and enjoying their grandchildren until Jack passed away in 1996. She continued her hobbies of quilting, gardening and watching her grandchildren grow up. She fell into ill health and her family sadly watched her decline in her later years. She was comforted by family in her final hours. She is survived by her sons, David and Rick and daughter, Shari Moore and their spouses, Rita Scholl, Debbie Hudson and Tom Moore, respectively. In addition, she leaves behind her grandchildren, Hallie Vincent, Alex Moore and Sara Hernandez. She also leaves behind four great-grand children, Molly Vincent and Raelee, Jordan and Shawn Hernandez. She was loved by us all and will be missed greatly. A private family memorial is being held. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made, in memorial to Jean Hudson, to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
