Luther Harrison Marlow, 80, passed away April 29, 2009, in Edmond, Okla. Luther was born Nov 19, 1928, in Lawton Okla. to Edd Marlow and Clara Weber. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Harrison Marlow, his parents, brothers Elmer Marlow (Cache Okla.), Elbert Marlow (Deluth, Minn.), Morris Marlow (Oklahoma City), and sister Lydia Drew (Knoxville, Tenn.). He graduated from Lawton High School in 1948 and attended Cameron College. He and Darlene L"™Roy married April 16, 1949. He served his country as a company clerk in the US Army at Ft. Sheridan, Ill. He then returned to Lawton and worked as a bookkeeper for Katy K Meat Packers from 1950 to 1972 when the business closed. He worked as office manager at Industrial Electric and retired in 1992 as vice president. He involved himself in creative hobbies including photography, carpentry, and gardening. He sculpted wire figurines, which he sold at art shows throughout Okla. He was admired as a man who could fix anything. He was treasurer of the Northwest Kiwanis Club and was executive administrator of the Walters Chamber of Commerce. He was baptized in 1952 at Northwest Church of Christ in Lawton. He served as a deacon at University Church of Christ and an elder at Sullivan Village Church of Christ in Lawton. He was a member of the Wilshire Church of Christ. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years Darlene Marlow, three daughters: Molly and David Terronez (Hurst, Texas); Mary and Bill Rice (Edmond, Okla.); and Melissa Marlow (Irving, Texas), nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces and friends. Memorial service will be held Friday, May 1, 2009, at Wilshire Church of Christ, 400 E. Wilshire, OKC, Okla., at 10:00 am. under the direction of Corbett Funeral Home, 807 W Wilshire, OKC, Okla., with Jeremie Beller and Bill Whaley officiating and singing lead by Jeremy McClinton. There will be a graveside service at Highland Cemetery, 2201 NW Fort Sill Blvd, Lawton, Okla., at 3:00 pm May 1.
