Mack Carey

MACK EDWARD CAREYOf Okla. City was born on Nov. 20, 1959 in Vinita, OK to Mack W. Carey and Maxine Carey. Mack died at home on Nov. 17, 2009 after a valliant struggle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Mack W. Carey, sisters, Carol and Terry, and brother, Kelly. Mack was a 1978 graduate of Classen High School in Okla. City. He joined the U.S. Army on June 14, 1978 and was honorably discharged on November 15, 1979. Left to mourn Mack are his brothers Don, Roy & Troy; sister Peggy; daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter, Christy, Aaron and Aubrey; aunt Velma; and mother Maxine; as well as a host of other family and friends. Mack was the consummate entertainer, plying his undeniable wit and charm well. He worked as a bartender for 17+ years at the R&M Lounge. He briefly worked for OCU in the maintenance dept during 2008.
