Maggie Rose Ella (Butler) Owens – 81, of Edmond, OK joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, December 7, 2020. She was born August 18, 1939 in Vernon, Oklahoma to the late Maggie V. (Cato) Butler and Harris C. Butler. Maggie attended Vernon High School in Vernon, OK before graduating in the class of 1957 from Frederick Douglass High School in Oklahoma City, OK. She was an entrepreneur, self-employed, where she owned and operated several childcare facilities. Maggie operated 2 childcare facilities in Los Angeles, CA for over 25 years and operated one childcare facility in Oklahoma City, OK. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Development as well as a Doctorate in Business Administration and Early Childhood Development. Her education includes attending Oklahoma University, University of Central Oklahoma, University of Los Angeles, and the University of Southern California. Maggie also owned and operated a nail salon in Los Angeles, CA. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 16th at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Corbett Funeral and Cremation, 807 W Wilshire Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73116.
