Marcella Louise Gilmer

Marcella L. Gilmer (67) passed away on December 3, 2012 in Oklahoma City, OK at Mercy Hospital at 5:45pm. She was born in Tulsa, OK on December 16, 1944. Marcella was a good mother to her kids and an outstanding cook. She dropped out of school in the 10th grade and eventually earned her GED. She then went on to NEO and received her Associates Degree and was only 9hrs. shy of receiving her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from NSU. She worked at TRW Cinch in Vinita, OK from 1981-1999. She then retired to Oklahoma City in ’99 with her 2 sons. She is preceded in death by her mother; Betty Jean Smith, brother; David J. Gilmer, and her grandmother; Rose Hardrick Smith. She is survived by her brother; Jeff Bennett and wife Lisa of Edmond, OK, sons; Samuel Gilmer and wife Sophia of Long Beach, CA, Freddy Gilmer and wife Tina of OKC, Leroy Gilmer of OKC, daughter; Marcell Gilmer of Los Angeles, CA, 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
