Marilee Jacobs, age 54, died at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Moore, OK on September 20, 2012 after a difficult fight with cancer. Born November 6, 1957 in Florida, she attended Merritt Island High School and graduated in 1975. Prior to moving to Oklahoma in 2012, Marilee lived in Post St. Lucie, FL for many years where she worked at Sears Home Essentials as a Retail Associate. Marilee is survived by her father Albert “Duke” Manning and his wife Mary, of South Carolina; children Jason and his wife Jessica, parents of Gabriel (3 years-old) and Isabella (1 years-old), of Oklahoma; Justin Jacobs, parent of Nicholas (6 years-old) of Florida, and his longtime girlfriend, Samantha; David Jacobs, of Florida; Alex Isele, of Massachusetts; and Cindy Patterson and her husband Jesse, parents of Jordan (11 years-old) and Connor (4 years-old) of New Mexico; siblings Debra Berg and her husband James, of South Carolina; Albert“Bert” Manning of South Carolina and his longtime girlfriend, Linda; Susan Sheppard and her husband James, of Montana; Glenda “Jaynie” Marler and her husband Kenny, of Florida; Siobhan Snow of Florida and her long time boyfriend, Shaun; Kristin Snow of Florida; step-siblings Darrel Belcher of Florida and Derek Belcher of South Carolina. Marilee was preceded in death by her husband Edison Anthony “Tony” Jacobs; her mother Glenda Snow, wife of Kevin; and her brother Robert Manning. Marilee will be remembered fondly by all the “children” she raised over the years; she was known as “Mom” to all of her children’s friends. She was active in various supporting roles in her children’s JROTC and martial arts activities. Marilee was an avid collector and was especially proud of her doll collection. A life remembrance will be held at 11:00 in the morning on Saturday, 29 September 2012 at Corbett Funeral & Cremation Service (807 W Wilshire Blvd Oklahoma City, OK 73116).
