Mark Lee Williams October 29, 1972 - February 16, 2010 Mark Lee Williams, 37, of Oklahoma City, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in his home after succumbing to his short but courageous battle with terminal cancer. Mark was born October 29, 1972 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Mark and Connie (Tosh) Williams. He attended the Weatherford Oklahoma Public Schools, graduating in 1991. Mark continued his education in computer technology at Oklahoma State Tech in Okmulgee and Frances Tuttle Vo-Tech in Oklahoma City. In 1990, Mark Lee was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes. One year later, Mark Lee would be critically injured in a three wheeler accident causing severe spinal cord injuries and resulting in paralysis. Now a paraplegic, Mark Lee"™s life would be forever changed. Mark Lee moved forward despite his disability, attending Oklahoma State Okmulgee and later Francis Tuttle Vocational Technical School where he honed his skills as a computer technician. Mark Lee"™s medical condition never improved, he endured numerous operations related to his paralysis and spent a cumulative total of many years hospitalized, his body unable to fully heal because of his diabetes. Mark Lee once said, "I am a walking talking example of Murphy"™s Law." Having moved to Oklahoma City from Weatherford, Mark Lee began working for Reaching Our City (ROC) as a computer technician and in IT support. Mark Lee made many friends and was a member of the Southpointe Church of the Nazarene. Mark Lee was a fan of science fiction, and enjoyed going to the movies with his friends and brother. Mark Lee was a lover of animals, and had several during his life. Mark Lee"™s beloved dog, a black lab named Hercules was always by his side for many years, but died in 2002. Mark Lee also had a cat named "Bubba," and a chocolate lab named "Missy." In 2003, Mark Lee was diagnosed with colon cancer. After undergoing aggressive treatment including chemotherapy and radiation, the cancer went into remission. However, in November of 2009, it was discovered that the cancer had returned and spread throughout his body. Despite the grim prognosis, Mark Lee fought until he could fight no more, and succumbed to the disease in the early morning hours of February 20, 2010. Mark Lee was surrounded by his mother, father brother and cat when he passed; as was his last request. Mark Lee is survived by his father, Mark Williams and mother Connie Jo Williams of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He leaves behind a brother, Joe Micah Williams of Houston, Texas; Maternal Grandmother, Mildred Robson of Elk City, Oklahoma.  Aunts and Uncles, Whitney Williams and wife Sherry of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Normando and Carol Lint of Seattle, Washington; Scott Williams of Amarillo Texas; Lonnie and Tonya Owmby of Hiticha, Oklahoma; Charles and Mikolyn Franks of Lexington, Oklahoma; Kathy Beebe of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Donnie and Anita Skelton of Elk City, Oklahoma; and many  cousins  and friends. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Raymond and Evelyn Williams, maternal grandfather Lee Robson, Aunts Janet Marple and Barbie Mitschelen
