Mary L. Hayes

Mary L. Hayes, a beloved resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, gracefully entered this world on February 2, 1932, in Overton, Texas. She completed her earthly journey on July 27, 2023, surrounded by the loving presence of her daughters in Yukon, Oklahoma.

During her vibrant life, Mary devoted several years of hard work to Safeway grocery stores until her well-earned retirement. Later, she embarked on a delightful adventure as an antique dealer alongside her cherished husband, Basil A. Hayes. Together, they traversed the landscape of antique shows, their passion for treasures taking them as far as Canada.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Mary found immense joy in tending to her garden at home, nurturing nature's beauty. Her hands were equally skilled in the art of quilt-making, where she poured her heart and creativity into crafting cherished heirlooms.

As Mary reunites with her departed loved ones, including her dear husband Basil, her brother Raymond Hensley, her daughter Diane Lindsey, and her son Kennith Lindsey, we find solace in knowing she will now rest peacefully in their company.

Left to cherish the memories of a life well-lived, Mary is survived by her brother Donald Hensley, her loving daughters, Barbara Gonzales of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Susan Barr of Yukon, Oklahoma. In addition, she leaves behind a legacy of warmth and love, carried on through several generations of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary's absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her. She touched the lives of those around her with kindness, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of family and friends. As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the wonderful memories and the enduring love she shared with everyone she held dear.
