Melton "Ray" Townley

Melton Ray Townley went to be with his Lord on October 26, 2010 at the age of 63, after a very short battle with cholangiocarcinoma. He was born November 14, 1946 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Ray was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Denver Townley, mother Myrtle McConnell Townley and his brother Clarence Richard Townley. He is survived by his wife, Nicki Albright Townley of Oklahoma City, OK., son and daughter-in-law Shawn and Tracey Townley, Del City, OK., son Carey Albright of Oklahoma City, OK., He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as many friends and loved ones. "Ray" graduated from Chickasha High School in 1965. He served in the US Air Force from 1972 to 1975. Ray retired from AT&T after 32 years of service. He enjoyed riding his Harley with friends and made yearly journeys to Sturgis, SD with his brother-in-law, Bill Welch. He loved to go fishing and enjoyed being with friends and family. He will be missed by all. A memorial service will be held at the Resurrection Free Methodist Church, 6000 N. MacArthur Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK, on Saturday November 06, 2010 at 2 PM.
