Michael Ray Wilson was born to Freemon Wilson Sr and Georgia Allen in Guthrie, Oklahoma. He was the 3rd oldest child born to this union of 5. He was raised in Oklahoma where he attended and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1973. He received his Associates Degree in Engineering from Oklahoma State University-OKC. Michael worked for IBM as a Technical Engineer for many years prior to being employed with Hospira as a Field Service Engineer. Michael had a passion for fun and living life out to the fullest. He believed that he worked for toys and toys he had. His love for the outdoors kept him always looking to find something more exciting and challenging that he could do. He was an avid bike rider, with or without a motor and restored cars. He loved the game of Golf, the game that some say is man against himself. His wall of trophies speaks for itself. He was passionate about airplanes and remote control cars, all of which he could draw blue prints for, build and then compete around the country in competitions. He also had a love for music; the electric guitar was his instrument of choice. When he was not creating his own music he loved rap, bass, and wall trembling speakers. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and making sure they were the happiest children in America. He made an effort to attend every event they were in and made being in his children and grandchildren’s life a priority. But let us not forget the Michael that we all loved and enjoyed. The Michael that made us laugh any time we saw him. The Michael that could talk for hours but every word was vital. The Michael that loved his family and taught us so much about kindness, respect, patience, and treating others like we would want to be treated. The man who never judged nor took sides, but always wanted to remain fair but neutral. The man who said to live life like it’s your last day and never leave any work unfinished. He was an outstanding influence to all that he met and left a great legacy behind. Not only do we rejoice in his new life but cherish the memories he’s given that will last forever. Every word of advice was fundamental and every moment spent with him was for a purpose. He was loved and valued and returned the same affection. He was an amazing brother, father, grandfather, husband, son, and friend. Let this remind us how precious life is and live it like Michael. Let us keep him in mind at all times and live a life to where we know we will see him again, golf club and all, in heaven one day. He left this life on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 11:45 a.m. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents and one step-sister. Also by two siblings; Freemon Wilson, Jr. and Donald Wilson.
