Marie McMillian 84, answered the masters call on Sunday October 14, 2018, while in hospice care in her daughter’s home in Oklahoma City. She was born on June 28, 1934 in Elmore City, OK, the daughter of Mildres and Alma Franklin. She graduated from Tatum High School in 1953 in Tatum, Oklahoma. She was a nutritionist for many years in Silver City New Mexico and retired from the Duncan Public Schools in Duncan Oklahoma. Marie was married most recently to Clifton McMillian who preceded her in death. Marie loved traveling, music, spending time with her family and building her relationship with the Lord. In addition, she loved raising and spending time with her Children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters and watching the movie Cadillac Records over and over again. Finally, she loved her soap operas, “The Young and the Restless” and the “Haves and Have not’s”! Marie was baptized in her early teens and has been a follower of of Christ where she remained faithful to the end. Marie is survived by seven children, Cynthia Norris, Andrew Flowers (Maria), Karen Flowers, Alma Taylor (Gerry), Antoinette Collins (Duane) Anthony Austin (Laura) and Laurence Austin (Mary Lou), brother Otis Franklin and sisters, Margaret Smith, Rachel Marshall, Mary Taylor, Linda Wright, Martha Grisby, Mossie Doku, Gloria Shaw, 23 grandchildren and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.
