Myrtle "Bea" Tucker

Tucker 1922 - 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Bea was born in Schell City, MO in 1922 and went to rest with Jesus Aug. 25, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, John B. and Nellie Southerland Calhoun; her siblings, Veda Stevenson (Steve), Johnny Calhoun (Pebble), Carrie (Bill) Chase, and Charles and Dale Calhoun; her son, Bill Bishop; and her joyful husband and traveling companion of 22 years, L.D. Tucker. Survivors include her children, Linda Tate (Dr. Mike) and Dr. John Bishop (Kay); her daughter-in-law, Frances Bishop; her grandchildren, Bazz and Zac (Dee) Bishop, Parker (Blake) and Reagan Tate, and Nick Bishop; and her precious great-grandchildren. A special thanks to longtime caregivers, Charlie Harris, Jamie Mares, and Bazz Bishop. With a twinkle in her eye, Bea entertained all with stories of Henryetta High School, post office retirement, and her WWII years at Los Alamos. Bea lovingly encouraged others to live her credo "Don't forget to smell the roses." Private graveside services. Memorials may be made to your chosen charity.
