Nina Ruth Kettler was born September 23, 1922 near Faxon, Oklahoma to George P. and Mary Grace Pearson. She passed away October 9,2012 in Yukon, Oklahoma surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her parents, her five siblings, a grandson, Will Venable, and the love of her life, her husband Luster Kettler. She is survived by her children, Ruth Taylor (husband Mark), Pat Venable (husband Bill) and Jim Kettler (wife Sherry), grandchildren Neil Taylor, Jamie Rundle, Laura Ladymon, April Francis and Robin Sanders, and eight great-grandchildren. "Miss Nina", as many know her, or "Gigi" as her great-grandchildren call her, made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. She grew up the youngest child of tenant farmers. She graduated from high school in Tuttle, OK and soon married Luster Kettler. Nina and her mother moved to Oklahoma City when Luster went off to WWII. Some years after the war, they bought the home she lived in for sixty-four years. University Heights Baptist Church, later known as Westernwood Baptist Church was her church home for many years. Britton Baptist Church is her current church family, where she served and was loved by many. She loved her family and her many dear and loyal friends very deeply. Many sincere thanks to her caregivers for their loving service to Nina.
