Ola Mae Robbins Harper, 67 made her peaceful transition from her earthly life on April 20, 2013, at lntegris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on November 13,1945, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, to Jesse and Edd Robbins. She grew up in Wagoner, and accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Lincoln high school in Wagoner, and later Pasadena High, in Pasadena, California, where she graduated in 1963. She then attended Bacone College before marrying Elliott Gerald Harper in 1966. They lived briefly in Nashville, Tennessee, before settling in Oklahoma City, OK. To this union, three children were born, Gerald Eugene Harper, Elliott Jermaine Harper and Regina Marie Harper. Ola worked as a secretary and registrar at Millwood High School for many years before retiring. She became a member of Paradise Baptist Church, and remained a member for many years before becoming a member of New Direction Missionary Baptist Church, and later Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Ola was a kind, generous person who was always willing to help any and everyone whenever she could. She loved her family very much and never missed a chance to make them laugh whenever she felt one of them needed cheering up. She was preceded in death by Elliot Gerald Harper, husband; Jessie Elhue Robbins, father; Gerald Eugene Harper, son; and Edd Arvella Jones Robbins, mother. Ola leaves to cherish her memory, her son Elliott Jermaine Harper of Long Island, New York, daughter Regina Marie Harper of Edmond, OK; sisters Ruth Benson, Eddie McVea, Andra Wood and Shirley Brown and brother Jessie Robbins Jr., of Oklahoma City, OK; sisters Geri Benson, Barbara Baker and Velma Reed of Wagoner, OK, brother John Robbins of Tulsa, OK, and sister Margarett Abernathy of San Antonio, TX. Others left to remember her life include 5 grandchildren, uncles and aunts, many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous other relatives and friends. Consistant with her wishes, there will not be any type of viewing or visitation for Mrs. Harper.
