Richard Montgomery

Richard William Montgomery, born July 3, 1935 at Fort Riley, Kansas, passed peacefully on the afternoon of February 9, 2013 in Oklahoma City after a battle with pneumonia and suspected stroke. A wonderful artist and lover of Christmas, music and a good container of mixed nuts (not too many peanuts!), he’s survived by his daughters Heather Hawkins Levy and Kelli Montgomery, both of Oklahoma City, his stepchildren Christy Smith and David Mutz of Yukon, and four grandchildren: Amanda, Ember, Kai, and Edwin. He is also survived by his younger siblings Don Montgomery of Oregon, Robert and David Montgomery of California, Paul Montgomery of Nebraska, and Virginia of Arizona as well as their children. Always the witty, bright person, Richard even played pranks on the nurses while in the hospital. He was always a part of every family gathering and always will be.
