Robert Bjorklund

Dr. Robert Charles Bjorklund (77), of Oklahoma City, died September 1st, 2010 in Bethany, OK. Bob was born October 13, 1932 in St. Paul, MN to Robert and Dolores Bjorklund. Bob was a United Methodist minister for more than 40 years in Arizona, California and Oklahoma, serving at several churches in OK, including Jones United Methodist Church and Hillcrest United Methodist Church before ending his ministry career at the Church of the Servant. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserve before being called to the ministry; he then attended the Garrett School of Theology where he met his wife of 53 years, Margaret Mary Ellen Harris. While at Garrett he received his Master of Divinity degree and later in life went on to receive his Doctor of Ministry degree from Claremont School of Theology. He enjoyed traveling, learning numerous arts and crafts and spent his life working towards social justice. He was very active in Oklahoma City and the outlying communities. He was a loving husband and father, a respected clergy and a good friend. He will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dolores, his brother Larry and his sister Barbara. He is survived by his wife Margaret, his son Scott, daughter-in-law Stacey and grandson Erik, his daughter Dana and daughter-in-law Linda and his son Todd, daughter-in-law Vicki and granddaughters Holli and Rebecca.
