Robert Samuel Frey

Robert Samuel Frey, a proud veteran of the United States Army and a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, entered into Heaven on Friday, December 22, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in the home of his daughter Kimberly who lovingly cared for him for the past 3 1/2 years.

Robert was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on April 19, 1931 to Melvin and Nora Frey. He was preceded to Heaven by his beloved wife of 67 years, Lillie Hazel Fountain Frey, who entered Heaven on April 27, 2020.

Robert met Hazel in Longview Texas when he was a student at Letourneau college. They married on September 9, 1952 before he left for Korea. When he returned, Robert completed his double degree in mechanical/electrical engineering and began life together with Hazel.

Robert and Hazel lived in a few different places, but especially loved their time in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, where they live for over 30 years and faithfully served at Broadway Baptist Church.

Robert and Hazel have four children: Robert Jr. “Bobby,” Patty Nelson of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania, John (Lynette) of Eureka Springs, Arkansas and Kimberly Sindelar (James) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

Robert and Hazel were the proud grandparents of: Josh, April, Olivia, Chris, Rebecca, Anna, Michelle, Heather, Benjamin, Adam, Matthew, Aaron, and Sarah. Their legacy continues with 13 great-grandchildren with a 14th on the way.
