Roy Lee "Precious" Belle was the first born to Gustavia Lute Belle and Lee Roy Belle on February 15, 1953 in Lake Charles, LA. His father, Lee Roy Belle, preceded Roy in death. He accepted Christ at an early age. Roy was fondly known as Precious by his family and close friends. Molly Hebert, his great-grandmother who thought he was the most precious baby ever, gave him this name. Roy attended Brownsville and Riverside Elementary Schools in Lake Charles, La. He went to John Marshall Jr. High School in Chicago, Ill., and Fremont Jr. High in Pomona, Ca. Roy completed his education at Dunjee High School in Spencer, Ok. Roy worked numerous jobs during his lifetime including at the Seattle-Tacoma Washington Airport and the family business with his late father in Houston, Texas. The last position he held was as a cook employed by AARP in Oklahoma City, Ok. He recently moved back to Oklahoma to be near family and friends. Roy departed his earthly life on Thursday, January 14, 2010, in Oklahoma City, OK. Roy leaves to cherish his loving memory: his wife, Lolita Belle of Tacoma, WA; three sons, Gerard Bennett of Coleman, FL, Jerome Bennett of Denver, CO, and Ishiah Belle of Tacoma, WA; 15 Grand-Children; mother, Gustavia Belle of Oklahoma City, OK, and step-mother, Lillie Belle of Pearland, TX. He is also survived by seven brothers, Clifton J. Belle of Tacoma, WA, Jimmy R. Belle of Oklahoma City, OK, Jeffrey J. Belle of Walnut Creek, CA, Scottie D. Belle of Marietta, GA, Stephan McMaron of Cleveland, OH, Ricky L. Lute of Oklahoma City, OK, and Dwayne Belle of East Point, GA; three sisters, Cynthia M. Ball (Colonel (Ret) Shelby) of Woodbridge, VA, Pamela J. Estell of Oklahoma City, OK, and Jatan Broadnax (Elder Dennis Sr.) of Pearland TX, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. A memorial services will be held 1:30 Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Village Baptist Church located at 10600 North May Ave in Oklahoma City.
