Sharon Kay (Williams) Jensen, 67, passed away on February 28, 2010, in Okla. City, OK. Sharon was born Nov. 11, 1942 in El Reno, OK to Allan and Vivian Williams. Sharon was raised in El Reno, OK and graduated from El Reno High School in 1960. When she was a freshman in high school she was elected sweetheart of the El Reno chapter of the Future Farmers of America. She competed in Okla. City with 100 other FFA chapter sweethearts for the title of Oklahoma FFA Sweetheart, which she was selected. After high school she attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Sharon married Allan Jensen on Jan. 25, 1961 in El Reno, OK. Sharon was a full time mother to two children and served as a local 4H leader. For the next twenty years she was involved with a large farming and ranching operation. In 1980, when her children were grown, she embarked upon a new career as a commodity broker. As owner of her own business, Allied Futures, she excelled in the high-risk, high-stress field of futures trading. She continued trading commodities until her death. She was a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners, a board member of the Okla. City chapter of the regional council of the Tulsa Opera, a member of the Metropolitan Opera Auditions Committee, a member of PEO, Chapter AE and Damrosch Music Club. Sharon was an accomplished pianist. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Pamela (Williams) Sides and beloved companion, Jim Rice. Sharon is survived by her son, David Allan Jensen and grandchildren Jordan and Justin of El Reno, OK, daughter Lea Ann Jensen of Okla. City, OK and grandchildren Maxwell and Murdoch. Sharon"™s family was truly blessed to have such a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all.
