Shirley Ann Tolton

Shirley Ann Winter Tolton, 75 years old, living in Yukon, Oklahoma died Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Integris Hospice Home battling a stroke and lung cancer. Shirley was born November 14, 1936 at the Elk City Hospital to parents are Pauline (Koch) Winter, born 1901, and George Winter, born 1891 of Weatherford, OK. When 18 years old, she married Charles Taylor Tolton on September 24, 1955 which lasted for 14 years. Her education included graduating from Weatherford High School in 1952. During her professional career she received training from Department of Defense and Federal Aviation Association as an Electronics Technician and Training Instructor where she worked and received many awards, and recognitions from the FAA and ultimately retired from FAA in 1999 after 24 years and 11 months of service. During Shirley’s life, she lived in Tennessee, France, Florida, Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma and traveled around the world on many work related trips and personal adventures. Shirley was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, sewing, photography and collecting miniature lighthouses, books and friends. She studied the works of many religious leaders and philosophers and was a student of spiritual life. Shirley is survived by: Children Daughter, Diana D Tolton of Tucson AZ Son, Todd A Tolton and wife Terrie L Tolton of Yukon OK. Grandchildren: Steven R Tolton of Oklahoma City, OK Amanda C McCarley of Tucson, AZ Trey E Clayton III of Yukon OK Rebecca A Clayton Martin of Tulsa OK Peyton Chyenne Elizabeth of Yukon OK Great-grandchildren Chandler Tolton of Oklahoma City, OK Noah Tolton of Oklahoma City, OK Brother: Gary Wayne Winter As well , Shirley has an extended family of Sisters-in-Law and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
