Silas Joe Hubbard

Silas (Joe) Hubbard, 66 of Calumet, OK passed on August 29, 2014 at OU Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held 10am Saturday September 6 2014 at The family home on 103 S Taft, Calumet, OK followed by a cook out in Joe's honor. Services to be led by Brother Jerry Ervin and Pastor Tom White. Joe was born July 14, 1948 in El Reno OK to RJ And Ester (Hanna) Hubbard. Joe was raised in El Reno OK. When Joe was a teen he and his family moved to Watonga OK where he met the love of his life Joice George. Joe and Joice married on September 23, 1966 after a two year courtship. They quickly started a family with the birth of their first child Angela Renee' just a short nine months later. Nine years later they completed their little family with the birth of their son Billy Joe. The pair had many endeavors and numerous accomplishments and built a life they were proud of. Joe moved his family from place to place over the years before finding a place to call home. In 1983 The couple found their dream spot in Calumet Ok where Joe lived the rest of his life. Over the years Joe found himself taking many different jobs to support his family. He done everything from Truck Driven to Street Rod Fabrication. Joe loved riding motorcycles tinkering around in his shop, flirting with the ladies and spending time with his bride "Joice Ann". Joe was a Husband, Daddy, Papa, Gpa Uncle, and friend who will be missed by all that knew him. Joe was proceeded in death by his Mother Ester Hubbard of Calumet, Father RJ Hubbard of El Reno, sister Carmen Hood of Cement, two Brothers Donny and Ronny Hubbard both of El Reno, Grandson-in-law Montana Camp of Calumet and Great Grandson Braxton Bordwine of Calumet. Survivors include his wife Joice Hubbard of Calumet, Daughter and Son-in-law Johnny and Angel Sanchez of Calumet, Son and Daughter-in-law Billy and Talia Hubbard of Calumet, Brother Mike Hubbard of El Reno, Brother-in-law Jerry Hood of Tulsa, 6 Grandchildren and their spouses: Tasha and Taylor Ludlow, Mason Bordwine and Shaire Rainey, Sheree Bordwine and Chris Evans, Becca Bordwine, Heather Hubbard, and Simone Hubbard, 5 Great Grandchildren: Adin and Jewell Ludlow, Emma Elliott, Bently Bordwine, and Pistol Camp.
