Sr., Floyd Bartels

Floyd A. "Jack" Bartels passed away December 24, 2009 at his home in Mustang, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 75. Jack was born June 23, 1934 in York, PA to Horace E. Bartels and Laura M. Ulrich. He was preceded in death by both parents, a sister Ruth, and his wife Elaine. Jack enlisted with the United States Air Force in November 1952 and was a veteran of both the Korean War and Vietnam War. He married Elaine Azlin on April 30, 1954 at the Assembly of God Church in Altus, Oklahoma to this marriage were born five children, Laura, Floyd Jr., Robin, Jacqueline, and Carmen. Jack retired from the Air Force in November 1972 and spent many years doing auto restoration. Jack and Elaine lived in Altus for a time finally settling in Moore, Oklahoma until Elaine went to be with the Lord in May of 1981. Jack moved to Mustang in 1986 and remained a resident until his death. Jack is survived by three brothers, Glenn (Phyllis) York, PA, Roger (Betty) York, PA, Merle (Ruth) Athens, TN two sisters...
