Steve Mata

Steve G. Mata, 89 of Oklahoma City, passed away March 10, 2011. He was born Aug. 3, 1921 in San Antonio, Tx. to Jose and Catherine G. Mata. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Tony and Pete Salazar, sister Eva Mata, wives Janice DeLong Mata Wilson and Sammie Lassiter Mata and stepson Phillip Lassiter. Steve is survived by his brother Johnny Salazar, sister Juanita Mata Lopez, children Jan Johnston and husband Patrick, Steffani Allen and husband Samuel, Steven Mata, Toni Mata and partner Regina Mooney, step-children Stephen King, Jacci Lassiter, Bill Lassiter, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Tuesday, March 15 at 10 AM at Crossings Community Church Chapel, 14600 N. Portland, OKC.
