After an aggressive battle with cancer, Susan Finley Sehorn of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on June 29, 2023, at the age of 50 while under hospice care.
Susan is survived by her loving husband, Richard Sehorn, and their children: Madalyn Cargile, Finley Sehorn, and Teslie Sehorn.
Born on May 22, 1973, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Susan was the daughter of Bradly Lee Cunningham and Kathleen Mary Cunningham, who predeceased her. Growing up, she experienced the warmth and love of a close-knit family, surrounded by siblings, cousins, and grandparents.
In 1993, Susan joined the Air National Guard and served her country with pride until receiving an Honorable Discharge. She then dedicated herself as a full-time stay-at-home mom, devoting all her time and energy to her children.
Susan married Richard on April 9, 1994, and they lived in various states, including Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, and Texas, before eventually returning to Oklahoma to settle down.
Susan possessed an unwavering work ethic and a determination to ensure her children had every opportunity for success in life. Alongside being a loving and caring wife, she held a deep affection for her dogs. Even when diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer on May 22, 2023, Susan remained strong in her Christian faith, facing the difficult journey ahead with unwavering resolve and bravery.
In addition to her husband and children, Susan is survived by her grandson Jace Cargile, sister Haze Nisberg, and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Susan had expressed her wish to be cremated. As a Military Veteran, a memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 8th, at 11:00 am at the First Christian Church in Harrison, AR.
