Valerie Lynn Kerr

Valerie Lynn Kerr was born on Nov. 23, 1973 in Enid, the daughter of Marie Kerr and Wayne Kerr. Her life was taken from her on Oct. 19, 2011, in Shawnee. She attended Norman Public Schools and was awarded her CNA certification from OSU-OKC in October 2009. Survivors include her fifteen year old son Tristan of Shawnee; her mother Marie Kerr of Bethel Acres; her sister Tammy Kerr George of Crown Point, IN; her brothers Bryan Kerr of Bethel Acres and Kevin Kerr of Stillwater; a niece Christa Woods, a nephew Dylan Kerr; sister-in-law Melissa Kerr of Shawnee; her father Wayne Kerr of Oklahoma City; a loving family in France as well as in the U.S. She was preceded in death by a sister Angela Lynn; maternal grandparents Anna and Wladyslaw Hejna of Verdun, France; paternal grandparents Toby and Charlie Kerr of Aline and uncle Dennis Kerr of Wakita. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to the trust fund established at Banc First of Shawnee, for her son Tristan and to Lakeview Church of Christ.
