Viola Frances Whitlock (Grooms)

VIOLA FRANCES WHITLOCK February 24, 1931 - September 6, 2018 Viola “Vi” Whitlock (Nee Grooms), of OKC, died on September 6, 2018, at the age of 87 with her daughter, Barbara, by her side. Vi was preceded in death by Joseph, her loving husband of 67 years. She will be fondly remembered by her brother, Sonny; grandchildren, Joey, Sheri, Nicholas, and Jennifer; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary, Kristina, Evan, and Cameron. Vi will be sadly missed by her former colleagues at Baptist Hospital, where she retired after 31 years of service, and by her friends at Britton Road Baptist Church, where she was an active member. Viewing will be held from 4-6 pm on Monday, Sept. 10, at Corbett Funeral and Cremation, 807 W. Wilshire, OKC. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Britton Road Baptist Church, 1141 W. Britton Rd., OKC. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Hwy. 75 and 4th St. in Weleetka.
