Virginia Nell Burton

Virginia Nell (Key) Burton Oklahoma City – Virginia N. Burton, 75, passed June 20, 2021 at a Mercy Palliative Care Center. She was born December 31, 1945 in Oklahoma City to Vearl D. and Lillian N (Vaughan) Key. Virginia graduated from Bethany High School, Class of 1963. She married Dan Burton on February 14, 1964. They were married 53 years before he passed in 2017. Her greatest joy was her family and friends. She loved to sing and spent many years singing as a soloist as well as with the choir at her church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Dan and a sister Norma Jeanne. Surviving are her sons, Ron Burton of Oklahoma City and Steve Burton of Oklahoma City; daughter, Dana Mclain and her husband Tracy of Bethany; six grandchildren, Daniel, Joey, Dawson, Emma, Sara, and Jena; one brother Jesse Key and his wife, Ethel of Warr Acres; many nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, July 17th at Will Rogers Senior Activity Center, 3501 Pat Murphy Drive, Oklahoma City with a reception following.
