ROHRMAN - Vivian Shirley (Radcliffe) Rohrman, of Edmond, Oklahoma, died on February 15, 2015, at the age of 82. Born in Doylestown, PA on December 8, 1932 to W. Byron and Dora Mae (Swartz) Radcliffe, she spent the first few years of her life in Lahaska, Pennsylvania, and then grew up in Carversville, Pennsylvania. She was a member of Carversville Christian Church and 4-H Club. She graduated from New Hope-Solebury High School in 1950, and went to work for Insurance Company of North America (INA) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She married William J. "Bill" Rohrman on May 19, 1951. In 1953 they were both transferred by INA to their newly opened office in Austin, Texas. They subsequently moved to San Antonio, Houston and Dallas (Texas) and Oklahoma City (Oklahoma) as Bill was transferred to INA offices in those cities. They moved to Edmond in 1985. Vivian was a stay-at-home wife and mother for most of her married life, and she was proud of "making a life" while Bill made a living, now a local independent agent with Messer-Bowers. She loved to do needlework, read and correspond with family and friends. She was a member of Putnam City United Methodist Church, and a Charter Member of United Methodist Church of the Servant. She was an avid country music fan, and Charter Member of the Centennial Rodeo Opry. She and Bill traveled allover the country following their favorite country music artists. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Edward and Gertrude (Shelmire) Radcliffe, Harry and Laura (Vasey) Swartz and daughter Jo Dee (Rohrman) Gray. She is survived by her husband, son Mark Rohrman and wife Claudia of Sacramento, California, son Curt Rohrman and wife Alice of Houston, Texas, granddaughter Sarah Rohrman of Houston, Texas, sister Rosalie Radcliffe of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, brother Jim Radcliffe and wife Mary of Etowah, North Carolina, sister Audrey Taylor and husband Frank of New Hope, Pennsylvania, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. No services are planned.
