He attended public school at Alva, Shawnee, Oklahoma City and Del City, OK. He also attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and the University of Central Oklahoma. Additional courses for computer programming, web development, and software development were taken in Salt Lake City. Utah and Dallas, TX. Growing up, William loved playing baseball, fishing, learning all the names of the books in the bible,riding his bike and reading. He also earned his black belt in Taekwondo and had won first place in many tournaments and first place at the Sooner State Games. He also qualified for nationals and placed third. William loved to act in theatre and had been a member of the The International Thespian Society. He also played football, entered Magic tournaments, and collected comic books. William loved to cook, play WOW with his son, had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. William and his family first resided in Oklahoma City then moved to Las Vegas, NV., William's son, William Nikolas or "Tadpole" called candy, mumbies; hence William's first company was named Mumbies. After Mumbies Media was developed, another company, Starsurge Media was formed. Widely known and respected in the computer realm for computer security, software development, mailing, programming, and engineering; he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his three children; William Nikolas, Violet Lee, and Edward Betts, and one stepdaughter Kayla Carpoff, of Childress,TX; his mother, Leota Ball Betts of Oklahoma City; his father Bill Betts of Newalla, OK; one sister, Elizabeth Parramore and her husband Mathew, one nephew, Austin and one niece, Aubrie Mae of MidWest City, OK, plus his loving, extended family, Shoshawna Bates, Serenity Ataddlety, Dusty Bates, Amanda Harrington-Fixico and daughter Jane Marie, all of Shawnee. William is preceded in death by his cousin, Michael Childers, two grandmothers, Myrtle Betts and Dorothy Ball, great grandmother Medie Hull and one aunt Mary Boren.
