Memorial Service 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 7th, 2015 Resurrection Free Methodist Church 6000 N. Macarthur Blvd Oklahoma City, OK 73122 Wilt was born in Blackwell, OK to Rex and Elsie Conine. He moved to Ponca City in 1946, where he made lifelong friends. He wrestled for Grady Peninger at Ponca H.S., Class of 1957 and won 2 State Championships. He went to OSU on a wrestling scholarship and earned a degree in education. Wilt coached wrestling at Hoover Jr. High and the Northside YMCA, winning over 50 tournaments. He was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2012. In 1962, he moved to OKC and earned his master's degree in education with a 4.00 at Central State University. He served as Classroom Teacher President and won many teaching awards. He took student tours to Europe for 12 years and retired from teaching at Hefner MS. He collected comics, autographs, movie and sports memorabilia and was a pioneer in the hobby. He traveled all over the US and the world. Wilt loved God, family, friends and country. He is survived by his wife, Patty of 56 years and family.
