Woody Cole Morris, Age 62, passed away on June 10, 2011. He was born April 18, 1949, in Holdenville, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents Reba and C. Woodrow Morris. He is survived by his wife Pamela; his sister Annette Hall and her husband Richard; sister Suzy Morris; sisters-in-law Kristin Cameron and Karie Thomas; brother-in-law Arnold Jackson; aunt Judy Jackson; cousin Keshia Jackson; nephews Zachary and Jacob Cameron; 3 nieces Nancy Cardenas and husband John, Deborah Scarlett and husband John Neal, Alice Cobb and husband Casey; special brother-in-law Larry Copeland and wife Kathy; and various other special friends and family members. He was a life-long advocate for children and youth, and was a teacher for many years. No person was ever turned away from Woody's door that had a musical instrument in their hand. He served on the board of directors for the Woody Guthrie Coalition for seven years and had a deep love for acoustic music, singers, and song-writers. The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011, at the Morris residence.
