Our beloved Zayda Goodwin, joined our Lord and Savior January 12, 2014. A Costa Rican citizen, born in 1935, she was successful in many ventures. By the age of 30, she owned a travel agency and enjoyed traveling throughout South and Central America. In 1970, when her husband accepted a position in London, she secured a position as Commercial Attaché of the Costa Rican Embassy. As such, she also represented the Costa Rican Tourist Board in Europe, and was the country’s representative in talks with the International Coffee Federation. After moving to the U.S., she worked in Restaurant Management for a National Chain. After her family relocated to Oklahoma, she started one the first 24/7 child care business in the city, provided a safe, loving place for numerous children. Zayda was blessed with a charismatic personality that touched a lot of people. She is survived by her husband Rex, daughters, Irene, and Sylvia; son-in-law, Bart; granddaughter, Christie, grandsons Derick, David and Nolan; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Alexa, Caleb, Danielle, and Samantha and countless friends.
